Recently in our office, we moved down the hall. The space is cool but my wall has felt a little bare.
So I have been throwing random things up on it (notice roger the moz bot flying on my wall).
On another note, I have come across some really rad people who are doing some really cool and creative things (the two are connected… stay with me).
One of those people I found is Lisa Frame. She runs two awesome sites. One is #Soyeahduh (pure comedy) and the other is Mug Shot Mondays, which is by far one of my favorite sites EVER. From there, I found Joseph Delhommer who runs The Hello Project.
This all comes after I started doodling on Post-Its and keeping them around my desk.
Annnnnnd cue the light bulb!
What is The Hello Project you ask?
Besides for being Awesome, The Hello Project is an online social collaboration giving people the chance to say hi from all around the world. They send Joseph and team a scanned post it via email and he prints and posts them all on the website and then I guess the wall too.
Inspiring
And in my effort to decorate and liven up my office, I want to take it one step further. I want everyones original art work (if for some reason your post it art makes millions, the profit is yours).
Seriously, when I say I have no other motivation other than decorating my wall, I really don’t. And I thought this would be a fun way to crowdsource all my creative minded friends and connect… (on my wall?!?! whatever.)
Also, its always fun getting “real” mail. So I will live up to my end of the bargain and personally send thank you notes to everyone who mails in some art. We are bringing back snail mail people!
Here’s Where You Come In
This can only work with everyone here is what you have to do (please, it should only take 5 minutes or more if you REALLY want to draw cool things):
- Draw on a piece of paper or post it note. Size doesn’t matter. It can be as big or small as you want. Write your name, make a doodle… whatever. It just should be fun looking (no one will be judged for their artistic ability. Seriously look at mine.
- Put the art work (post it or paper) in an envelope.
- Address the Envelope to
