Given that I am preparing to launch a new blog which revolves around the implications of using Social Media and Viral Content, I thought this was a very fitting picture to share (which I found from biscuitsngroovy, first shout out on my new blog!)
“Google before you tweet is the new think before you speak”. And how true is that!
We rely so heavily on the internet for just about … well… everything. All the information we could ever need is readily available at the push of a button. And yet, with all the Brand FAIL’s, kid’s singing at their home computers, kids with light sabers, Facebook flops, chimpanzees riding on segway’s, you name it we have seen it all. But still, surprising as it may be, people and brands alike continue putting completely moronic content out there for us to laugh at and make fun of … or is that the point?
What I hope to accomplish here is to identify anything buzzing, surging, exploding etc. (you get the idea) on the internet and dissect it, evaluate it, poke fun at it if I have to, and hopefully, when all is said and done, we can learn from it and we can all be better marketers from it.
And maybe, just maybe, we can begin to understand what the heck some people are thinking!
