Yahoo Insanity

May 16, 2012 by Aaron Friedman Leave a Comment

I am sure everyone has become aware of the Hollywood hilarity that is Yahoo. Honestly, its more than pure hilarity. At this point it’s total insanity! I am at a complete loss for predictions on what will happen next.

Allow the quick re-cap in time from earlier this year:

After pretty much pulling themselves out of the search game, Yahoo fired Carol Bartz, who was largely responsible for this happening. Then Yahoo hires a guy names Scott Thompson. And besides for the seeming trouble that awaits them causing the company to lay off 15% of its work force, a ripple effect began when they refused to let Dan Loeb from Third Point on their board, which caused angry letters to go back and forth which ultimately outed Scott Thompson who lied on his resume causing his termination from the company.

And of course lets not forget the potential stolen logo.

Oh how the mighty fall. Time will tell on this one.

For more on this epic story, Business Insider is by far the best. This link takes you to the Dan Loeb filter. Its epic, for sure.
