What seems to have been somewhat overlooked today is that Twitter announced that they are allowing all sorts of additional sharing vie sms including pictures.
I suppose my bigger question is, facebook claim’s:
Sending a text message (or SMS message) has always been one of the easiest ways to share information and keep up with your favorite accounts on Twitter.
I have a hard time believing that, although I suppose that is their roots. I would be interested in seeing some kind of study showing how mobile users are tweeting. I personally use the regular twitter platform ( or tweet deck when at a conference).
How many users are actually using text messages to update twitter?
